It is well known that different factors can affect negatively the male fertility as tobacco, alcohol, drugs, lifestyle, diet… but what it was unknown is that depending on the period of the year the sperm quality changes.
According a study performed in UK and recently published in Human Reproduction, during the summer, between June and August, the spermatozoa are smaller and with a worse morphology than the samples got the rest of the year.
This fact is probably due to the high temperature which has a detrimental effect in the spermatogenesis (sperm production).
